AGR evaluated the county's long-time agreement with a private operator of a county-owned landfill. We met with County Commissioners and citizens to understand concerns, provided examples of potential contract language from similar agreements to address these concerns, and recommended changes to current terms and operations.
AGR guided this rapidly growing county as it transitions to a universal curbside collection system. We developed a strategy and gained support from elected officials for curbside collection in multiple districts, drafted requests for proposals, evaluated responses, participated in interviews with proposers, and prepared contract terms.
AGR prepared a Request for Proposals and contract documents for solid waste and recyclable collection throughout the unincorporated county, meeting with each municipality to determine opportunities for collaboration. We recommended minimum requirements and proposal evaluation criteria and developed proposal forms and bid sheets for responses.
